Celebrating its 40
th anniversary, on 17 October 2018, the State Archives, under the coordination of the State Archivist, Mrs. Effy Parparinou, held at the Ministry of Finance Auditorium, a training programme entitled:
“Cyprus State Archives – Natural Disasters - Archives Rescue”.
At the training programme, the State Archives Officers, Mrs. Elena David, Mrs. Koula Pieri, Dr. Christos Kyriakides and Mr. Minos Perdios presented the State Archives and its work to the Archive Rescue Officers of the government and of the public sector. The Archive Rescue Officers then had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with various methods of archive rescue in the event of natural disasters, presented to them by the State Archives Paper Conservator, Mr. Nicolas Papandoniou.
