On the occasion of the International Archives Day on 9 June 2017, the State Archives shares on its website Plans of Nicosia Town from the Secretariat Archives Collection, file SA1/729/1912 under the title “Nicosia Ramparts-Construction of steps from ditch to top –by Municipality” and SA1/520/1945/1 under the title “Sub Police Stations Nicosia Town”.
The town of Nicosia is the only divided capital city of Europe and remains under the Turkish occupation since August 1974.
