The Ministry of Justice and Public Order recognizing the importance of bilateral agreements in the promotion of judicial cooperation, promotes the conclusion of such agreements with other countries.

Α table with all the Bilateral Agreements already signed and entered into force is attached.

These Agreements in civil and/ or criminal matters mainly deal with the following issues:

a) Service of documents

b) Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments

c) Exchange of information for the judicial system of the contracting states

d) Exchange of information for the criminal convictions of nationals of the contracting states

e) Extradition of fugitives

f) Transfer of sentenced persons

The Ministry of Justice and Pubic Order has been assigned as the Central Authority in relation to the application of the said Agreements.
