Study for the restructuring of Cyprus Police

The restructuring of Cyprus Police is among the governmental priorities. The current increased challenges, that Cyprus Police faces, and the development of new forms of crime, as a result of the socioeconomic changes, impose the restructuring so the Police can respond adequately and effectively to its role and the demands of modern society.

In cooperation with Cyprus Police, the Ministry is designing a contemporary policing model and a modern framework for the management of learning and of human resources. To achieve the implementation of these goals, four contracts for consulting services from the private sector are in the process of procurement for the period 2019-2023.

The tenders for the first two contracts have been awarded to the successful tenderer and are being implemented under the monitoring of the project team.
